It’s Launched

We are all compost.

Tomorrow is the day when I welcome you all into the front door of Nanlandia, when the first episode will be released into the world!  My first guests are Ben Bagwill and Ryan Singer who will be talking about sustainability, composting and recycling in a way I hadn’t heard it talked about before.  There’s no freakout; there is no doom, no terror or warnings; there’s excitement in what they’re doing to get this all going.  These two extremely knowledgeable, articulate and creative young men are not only combining their skills into a collaborative business to better the world, but I just realized I know just the guy to introduce them to, here in the City of New Orleans to change this city into something it ain’t seen before!  (That’s the great thing about being of an older generation – you know E’erbody!)

I was just listening to their podcast when I sat down to write this and heard Ben say, “We are all compost!” pointing out that from dust did we come and dust are we going back to, and so are the bananas that we eat and those peels that we have dangling from our hands that we aren’t certain what to do with in a sustainable world.
Ryan and Ben will tell you!  And what they said was one of those things that makes you say, “Hmmmm!” with a little excitement in your brain when you do!

The podcasts will drop at the strike of midnight right between Tuesday and Wednesday every week.  And we ain’t got no genres here in Nanlandia; we’ve got a professional pyrotechnic talking about the world of blowing stuff into colorful patriotic glory (and what that’s like to do,) we’ve got very articulate young folks talking quite frankly about what the world they live in is like and what (for example) those years of at-home schooling did for and to them; the magic spirituality of death (and the life-changing excitement that comes with that!)  We have the crazy-ass world of the flight attendant and how the COVID years affected your travel peace of mind; a very interesting look with cool stories that go along with following one’s path to becoming a professional photographer; the art of running away from home; an interview with the granddaughter of the man who was in charge of the Manhattan Project, developing the atomic bomb during World War Two (I’m serious!) and more!

I want to shout a million thank yous to Tracy Keller who is making this thing HAPPEN!  Without her we’d have . . . no website, no, really, anything.  The other day she was describing this podcast to someone: “Ordinary people with extraordinary tales, and extraordinary people just being themselves.”  I said, “That’s great!  We should use that!” and she said, “It’s on the website.”

MAN I’m appreciative of Tracy!

And of Sean G’sta of
