Doin’ it Right
Lord, if you do not want something done right, do not partner up with Tracy Keller to get it done!
“How hard can it be to do a podcast?” thought I, when I set out to do just that. “I interview people, load the discussion up to my Nan@NanParati.com website, and . . . .it’s done!”
Enter Tracy, the friend I mentioned I was thinking of doing a podcast to, and who said, “YEAH! We’re DOIN’ it!”
Tracy is a natural born, as well as a certified producer and it has long been said that Tracy doesn’t do nothing well. And I don’t even know what she’s doing! But she says a lot of words I don’t understand on several layers of dimension, she’s got us connected to the places you go to get your podcasts, turns out she’s an outstanding editor (cutting out many hours of, “So, likes” and “um, yeahs”) so that we can get right to the meat of all the matters. (I don’t say those things by the way; some of the younger guests do.) She’s added intros and outros to each of the episodes we’ve recorded so far, she’s got music in all the right places, she’s got the new website (www.Nanlandia.com) up and running so that you can go there for all your entertainment needs, day and night; and all in the world I have to do is to find interesting people, lure them in and interview them!
And since it is not at all hard to find interesting people, and since interviewing them is just as much fun as eating chocolate ice cream is (to me,) we make a very good team that is having a great time getting a whole lot done in Nanlandia!
So I wanted to write and let you know where we’re at with it all, and our new podcast, Welcome to Nanlandia will jump off its first cliff on the Ides of March! (That’s March 15th for you young’uns.) And for the first time in history you can actually look forward to the Ides instead of bewareing them! We’ve got four interviews in the proverbial can, but we’re lining them up (well, Tracy is) in the order they might best be revealed, and Tracy has set March 15th as the day we will change podcast history. (Those last ones are my words, not hers.)
Tracy says hi and she feels that the Ideas of March are auspicious for our launch, and that some really cool things are going to come of all of this. And then she two her two dogs (a giant Husky and a tiny Pomeranian) on a simultaneous walk (which, it seems to me is just asking for trouble – or at least for a walk that’s going to take a very long time.)
Meanwhile, in the “How Does This Work?” Department, I’m otherwise trying to figure out how the hottest Mardi Gras day in nearly 100 years can fall within a few days of New Hampshire’s Mount Washington setting its new record for 108 degrees below zero, all within the same country. How does that work? I think I want to interview God and ask Him about that on the podcast. If any of you have connections and can send me His phone number or email address, that would be good.
So stay tuned, and I’ll be back soon to strike up the band!
